Really, it is not so easy task to make a decision where and how many AdSense Ad should be displayed to the blog or website which has recently got approval from the Google AdSense. Which Ad Space will fetch more clicks and impressions to boost AdSense earnings? In this tutorial you will learn the process to generate first AdSense Ad Unit code to be placed into the webpages. Additionally, you will also learn how may AdSense ads is permissible on a single webpage. How to Create First Google AdSense Ad Unit Login to your AdSense account Click on My Ads tab from the top menu bar. Select Content and then click on New ad unit Now, you have to write and choose following details very carefully in accordance with your webpage. Name: The name of your AdSense unit should be unique so that you can easily identify it later. Suppose if you want to create Ad unit for your blog header, following examples may help you to give a better name to your AdSense Ad Units: a) Header– Simple name for Ads to be shown on header of your site; or b) Header 728×90 – Specify the size of Ad unit; or c) SWT Header – If you have more blogs/sites it identify the particular blog/site; or d) SWT Header Homepage – It will be for AdSense Ads for only home page of your particular blog/site; or e) SWT Header Articles – If you want to run AdSense on your Article pages only. Ad size: There are various Ad sizes available but you have to choose one which would help you to earn more and fits perfectly in Ad Space available on your webpage. Let me decide the best ad size for your blog/ site. However, I recommend you to use Responsive Ad Unit if your blog is using responsive blogger template. Ad type: You have to choose one ad type from three options viz. Text Ads Only, Text and Display Ads and Display Ads Only. I recommend you to choose the second one as because this will increase the competition among the advertisers bidding for appearing on your blog/site. Suppose there are two advertisers viz. AUBSP and SWT and both wants to show their Ads on your site. However, SWT have only created Ad banner in Rich media (display Ads) where AUBSP has created Ad banner in Text. Now, if you have enabled only to show Display Ads on your site then SWT will bid for the ad space on your blog whereas AUBSP will not join the competition. As a result of which even SWT will bid low Cost Per Click (CPC), it’s ad banner will appear on your site. But, if you will choose to display both Ad types on your blog then it will enable AUBSP as well as SWT to compete to each other to appear on your blog and accordingly whose bidding ranking is high, AdSense will allow it show advertisement on your webpage. Backup ads: This feature will help you to show another Ad instead of AdSense Ads when there is no target ads are available for your blog. However, you may choose to display image or color instead. I will help you to create an attractive ad banner for your webpage backup ads. Custom Channels: It is an advanced feature which will help you to show the performance of various Ad Units in a group.
